Religion & Environment

Spring Conference 2020 Netherlands Association for the Study of Religion

Religion & Environment

Date: March 27, 2020
Venue: Radboud University, Erasmus building, Erasmusplein 1, Nijmegen, room 02.05

In response to environmental challenges, various religious leaders and faith-based organizations formulated statements, drawing on their texts and traditions. Their images of human-nature interaction vary from ‘stewardship’ (in monotheistic traditions) to ‘partnership’ or ‘participation’ (in mystic traditions). The aim of the 2020 Spring Conference is to explore and discuss God – human – nature interaction as an emerging issue in the academic study of religion
