The Spring Conference: one of the highlights of NOSTER’s curriculum. Two days at conference venue De Poort, Groesbeek near Nijmegen in order to engage with the work of peers, attend workshops, and listen to a keynote lecture. The perfect place to discover the ‘academic conference’ formula and to exchange knowledge and experience. You are most welcome to submit a proposal for presenting your research, even if it is yet to start! Presentations take place in three types of parallel sessions: Brainstorm, Feedback, and Review Session. See the Call for more details:

Preparatory reading and assignments
For the keynote lecture, the Feedback Sessions and Review Sessions, preparatory readings will be provided in due course, as well as small preparatory assignments for the conference as a whole and for the workshops.
Keynote speaker
A keynote lecture on the topic of democracy and religion will be delivered by Professor dr. Sophie van Bijsterveld (RU), who is an expert in the field of religion, politics and law. The title and abstract of her lecture will follow.
Workshops
Objectives: The Spring Conference contributes to broadening your horizon by familiarising yourself with the research of peers and senior researchers and to community building.
Participation and registration: Open to all (Re)Ma students and PhD Candidates. Once you have created a personal account on this website and have logged-in, you can register for the Spring Conference by clicking the green “Register for this item” button on the right before 9 April 2021. Please note that if due to unforeseen circumstances you are unable to attend, please inform the NOSTER office as soon as possible and before 14 April 2021 at the latest. If you fail to notify the NOSTER office of a cancellation you will be charged € 125.
Costs: Participation is free for ReMA students and PhD candidates registered at NOSTER or at any other research school in the Humanities. For others, the fees are € 125. For more information about membership and costs, click here (for ReMA students) or here (for PhD candidates).
Place: If circumstances allow, the Spring Conference will take place at De Poort, Groesbeek.
Dates: 22-23 April 2021, board and lodging included.
Admission: Open to all.
Credits: 1 EC for participation, 0.5 EC extra for presenting your research.
